The Character Cafe Challenge Friday

Good Morning Everyone! So glad you came by today! I kind of decided to take an unexpected break this past week from blogging so that's why the posts have been scarce, but now I'm back & have a great The Character Cafe challenge to share today.

A close up:

This challenge is to make a "round" card & for this one I used the largest Spellbinders Circle Nestabilities, Copic Markers & the oh so cute image called Froggin' Frederik, isn't his face too cute? Fun to color too! Be sure to head on over to the challenge blog to see what the other DT members came up with for this challenge & to join to win some great prizes, good luck!

Oh, guess where I'll be tonight? Another Chicago White Sox game, the first place White Sox that is & my DH scored box seat tickets too! Let's hope it doesn't rain :) Hope to be back here again this weekend if not hope you have a great one!

Happy Friday!

Hi all! So glad you came by today. It's really super hot & raining here in the Midwest, it's so humid my hair doesn't stand a chance... Well I tried to post this yesterday but unfortunately I was missing a small part of the challenge & well you know it wouldn't be a challenge if you didn't do it correctly... hmmm... anyway, this week I joined in on the Sketch Saturday challenge & will have mine in just in the nick of time :)

First here's the sketch:
Here's my sample:

A closer look:

For this one I used one of my cards from Joann's packages, it's 51/2 x 51/2, I used a new Sizzix folder from Tim Holtz & the other is a Cuttlebug folder called Distress Stripes, the image is a Character Cafe image called Chip isn't it too cute? The nestabilities is the petite scallop circle too.

I hope everyone has a great weekend! I'm sure mine will be busy as usual! I'm still contemplating CHA since it' s in the area... Thanks for coming by!

MIA this Weekend...

So sorry I've been missing in action a few days, it's been a busy weekend. In case you're curious it started out Friday (my ds's b-day) attending a Chicago White Sox game, Sox are in 1st place at this point in time. What fun we had. Saturday was spent doing errands & laundry & such... yuck. Yesterday was my dd's b-day so we had to spend a good part of the day with her, although she's at the ever so cool (not) age that would rather be with friends than the oh so embarrassing "parents"... bet some of you can relate??? Anyway my apologies but I had hardly no time to create anything this weekend. I do however have a card I made last week to share:

The inside:

I made this card for one of the ladies at work (my regular customer) for her grandson's b-day later this month. He's mowing lawns this summer so she asked me to use a lawnmower if I could, well of course in this ever growing papercraft industry we love so much you can find a lawnmower. The one I found is a Jolee's sticker, cute huh?

Before I say good bye for today I have to name my winner from last week's Character Cafe blog hop:

Tink

Kelly will be sending your oh so cute Spott image as soon as she can, congratulations! Thanks for stopping by the hop!

Hope you enjoyed what I had to share today, hope to be back again before Friday's Character Cafe Challenge this week! Thanks for coming by!

Red, White & Blue Penny Black Challenge

Hi there! Hope you've enjoyed this long holiday weekend (those of us in the US that is). I know I have & ('m sad to see it have to end. Wouldn't you know I didn't have much time in my craft room this weekend until today and when that happens the day before I have to go back to work it makes me not want to go even more... if you know what I mean :)

Anyway, I thought I'd end the weekend with my challenge card for Penny Black Saturday Challenge it is to use Red, White & Blue, how appropriate! I adore Penny Black stamps and have quite a few of the "T" is for Transparent ones so I felt compelled to join. Good reason huh?

Here's what I came up with:
