Summer... Summer... Summer...

Hi there!  Now that my youngest is about to head off to college :( & and leave hubby & I with an "empty nest" I decided it's time to start blogging some more, I've also been welcomed into the Creative Card Crew Team & will be posting challenges with them, I've gained more followers too (hi there!) as well as the fact that I'll just plain have more time on my hands for sure.

Boy has it ever been summer here in the Midwest...  Hot, hot, hot...  Over 100 tomorrow with the heat index, too hot for me :(  Well with that theme in mind I thought I'd share some cards I've recently made:

I'm trying really hard to use up some old stuff I have so these flip flops are ones from a few years back, the flowers are random flowers from my stash & the circles are Nestabilities.

Okay, well that's it for today, as I said I plan to blog more in the days to come so be sure to stop by as I have many other things to share :)  Thanks for coming by!

Northwoods Stamp

A month or so ago my DH accompanied me to Archiver's & I was looking for graduation stuff to use on my cards. While there I found one of their samples made with a really cute stamp of tulip pots & combed through all the stamps but couldn't find it. Funny story here, I was pouting a bit so my DH asked what I was looking for so I told him, next thing you know I find him over by the stamps & believe it or not he found the last one :) He can be such a sweetie sometimes I tell ya! Anyway here's the stamp:

My sample made with this beautiful stamp:

Stuff to Share

Hello, thanks for coming by! I just thought I'd share a project that I haven't shared before... some of you may know that my "day job" is to supervise a claim unit of 10 people, which I've actually done now since 1997 wow 14 years almost... anyway each year I acknowledge their birthdays with a little something, this is what I'm doing this year for the males:

A close up of the little bag:

Unfortunately I cannot find the image, it's a digi but I can't find it on my PC... I need it to make one more too :( so if you know please let me know, thanks!

I think the rest is self explanatory but if you have any questions let me know.. thanks!

I'll share the card & bag I do for the girls soon!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Winter Birthdays

Hello there & happy Sunday! I can't believe the weekend is almost over... can you? I shopped all day with my 16 year old DD yesterday we set out at 10 & didn't get home until after 4 what a long day. Of course this was clothes shopping & not craft shopping so it wasn't nearly as fun as it could be but we had a good time together none the less :)

Okay today I'm sharing a card I made a few weeks back that I forgot to post, it's for winter birthdays... I have a winter birthday (next Friday to be exact ;) ) so I can relate & of course my birthday wouldn't be right if there wasn't any snow & guess what they are calling for a big storm this week here in the Midwest but hopefully they are wrong... we'll see. On to my card:

Good Saturday morning to you! It's bitterly cold here today like a high of 15 degrees... & it's snowing... of course I want to make sure all my running around is done today (which I'm procrastinating) so that I'm in front of the TV tomorrow for the Chicago Bears vs. Green Bay Packers...

This then gives me plenty of time to get these posts done & announce the winner from last week's SMC Birthday Blog Hop! The winner from the comments left on my blog is:

Happy Saturday!

The weekend finally! I'm so glad, what a long week it was for me how about you? Today I'd like to share a card I made using an image that I think was free in December from Di's Digi Designs, she really does some great work!

A closer view:

Is this image not one of the cutest? It was super fun to color too! I think she was originally meant for a Christmas image but appeared to me to be versatile so I turned her into a birthday card :) I've been controlling myself a bit so I haven't purchased any new ones yet but I've been stalking, she has a super cute freebie she's giving away now so you may want to head on over there if you think this one is cute!

Thanks for coming by, hope you have a great weekend!

Final Christmas Projects

I think so anyway... here's a few cards I made for Christmas that I've never gotten around to post.

These are from the ever so cute 2010 Christmas collection with Stampavie, as you may recall I couldn't decide a few months ago which one to get so I had to get a bunch, sound familiar?

Christmas Project to Share

Hello Everyone! Hope the sun is shining where ever you are... it's not shining here in fact they are talking about rain changing to snow - 5 inches or so then blustery cold like 25 below zero, that's crazy for weather in the Midwest in December, I can't remember it ever being this cold in December. Anyway I'm sure it's yuckier somewhere else but I don't like it this way here so sorry for my rambling...

Okay on to what I wanted to share:

The cards:

The final package:

A closer look of one of the cards:

Well there were 50 cards here, made for a lady at work. She gave me the order in late September & I was finally able to deliver it to her right before Thanksgiving. I used the oh so cute image from Stampavie called Snowy Cuddles. Thanks for coming by today & stay warm :)

Anniversary Card

Hi All! Hope everyone is doing good! I've been super busy all of a sudden & unable to post regularly like I'd like to... I was given some projects for people & they are consuming a bunch of my time right now. I did decide to make the time to get a post up tonight though. This is an Anniversary card I made for someone's parent's 50th Anniversary. She loved it!

A closer view:

I'd sure love to hear what you think! Have a great rest of the week!
