Anything Goes this Christmas Eve

Hi there & thanks for coming by today! Not sure about you but it's been one busy week for me. Because of my Mom passing away a very few months ago the rest of the family & I decided to switch things up a bit & I'm having a Holiday Open House today from 2-8. This way those family & friends that paid a visit or sent their love can come by & see the family under a bit better circumstances. Don't get me wrong though these next two days are going to be super hard as this was Mom's favorite holiday. But needless to say I'm busy & will be a bit more the next couple of days. Here's a cute picture of Mom, "Love you Mom"

This was actually Thanksgiving 2008 when we all had just recently lost not one but two uncles on the same day just a month before the holidays. Mom had a few to drink with us that day & just enjoyed her Birthday cake a bit too much :) Anyway thank you for letting me go on...

I did however take a bit of me time this week & completed this week's Sew Many Cards Challenge Anything Goes. Here's my card:

A closer view:

Okay for this card I used Halen in Hat which is one of my favs along with a newer Sizzix embossing folder for the background & the sentiment is from a set from All that Scraps. I again thank you for coming by & be sure to head on over to the challenge blog to see what the other design team members came up with & consider joining us this week, it's a super easy challenge!

Oh & I'm working on this week's Freebie Friday for the store blog as well so be sure to check there too!

Merry Christmas!

I think so anyway... here's a few cards I made for Christmas that I've never gotten around to post.

These are from the ever so cute 2010 Christmas collection with Stampavie, as you may recall I couldn't decide a few months ago which one to get so I had to get a bunch, sound familiar?

Final TCC Challenge

Yes you read that right, this is my final TCC challenge card as the challenge blog will be closing & there's no longer a need for me to create with these awesome images. There's still challenges going on for the rest of the month & the store will remain open it's just the challenge part is closing down. This week's challenge is to create something with "Dazzle" like foil, shiny stuff, think anything with a mirror look. Here's what I came up with:

A closer look:

I used royal blue foil paper & one of the new release images for December called: Whimtree, cute tree isn't it?

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Kendra & Kelly for the honor of being on their design team for what I think was almost a year. They are a couple of great artists & working with their images was such a pleasure, I plan to continue working with these images for a long time, thanks ladies! I'd also like to thank the Design Team, starting with the coordinator Fink, great job keeping things going each week, thanks & the rest of the team as well it was a pleasure working with you all Cleota, Lola, Jessica, DJ, Chelsea, Georgia, Joyce & Nancy, I hope to see you all in blog world in the future, take care!

Christmas Project to Share

Hello Everyone! Hope the sun is shining where ever you are... it's not shining here in fact they are talking about rain changing to snow - 5 inches or so then blustery cold like 25 below zero, that's crazy for weather in the Midwest in December, I can't remember it ever being this cold in December. Anyway I'm sure it's yuckier somewhere else but I don't like it this way here so sorry for my rambling...

Okay on to what I wanted to share:

The cards:

The final package:

A closer look of one of the cards:

Well there were 50 cards here, made for a lady at work. She gave me the order in late September & I was finally able to deliver it to her right before Thanksgiving. I used the oh so cute image from Stampavie called Snowy Cuddles. Thanks for coming by today & stay warm :)
