Hopping with The Character Cafe

Hello there & happy Friday! If you started at the beginning of the hop you're coming from The Character Cafe Store. I thank you for joining us!

This month's digi release from The Character Cafe has a bit of this & that in it & Kendra & Kelly came up with some really cute images I know you're going to love.

I was able to use the cute image called Izaac Elf & he helped put me in a bit of a festive type spirit. Here's what I came up with:

He was fun to color quite a bit of detail. Here are the details for this month's hop:

What we are asking of you the hoppers...

Sew Many Challenges - Thank You!

Hello & I cannot believe I haven't blogged all week again, I'm afraid I was out of town on business most of this week for my "day job" & it has to take priority over my passion for creating. But as soon as I returned I got right to it today & have some cute (if I don't say so myself) cards to share with you.

This week SMC's challenge is to honor the upcoming Grandparent's Day by doing either a Thanks or Love themed card & I sorta came up with both:

A closer look:

For this card I used the oh so cute image called Semmy the Snail & he's part of the images from the August VIP package.

This week's prize package is from Purple Panda Designs which can be found at Stitchy Stamps & the prize is 4 digi stamps, I had the honor of choosing one to work with this week as well, this is the one I chose:

A closer look:

This image is called Yin & Yang, cute huh? They put me in a bit of a "festive mood" & so I created a Happy Holidays card & believe it or not the background paper is from the DCWV Autumn mat stack, I couldn't believe it had a color in "autumn" stack? Go figure, it went well with the color I chose which is a bit of a bluish/turquoise color. What a fun card to make!

A little bit about the creator of this oh so cute stamp:

Hi! I'm Kayla from Purple Panda Designs and I'm 16 yrs. old. I love to draw and I love Panda's. I love to color them purple, which is where my name came from. I love to draw animals mostly. My stamps are hand drawn from my own ideas. Please be sure to visit my blog for updates and news about Purple Panda Designs. Would love to have you as a follower. I hope you enjoy my stamps.

I couldn't believe she's only 16, what talent, huh?

We hope you'll join us this week, be sure to check out the other DT members creations too, their addresses can be found on the side bar. Thanks for coming by!

A close up:

For this card I used the oh so cute image called Suzie, I'm sure you can see the pink & brown but can you see the tearing, it's just under the image on the bottom. Fun card to make! Good Evening & Happy Friday!

Thanks for coming by so glad you had the time, there's a storm rolling through here right now so I hope I can get this post done :) Tonight I'd like to share a challenge card I made for Paper Sundaes a challenge blog I stumbled upon not too long ago.

This challenge is a recipe challenge & you are to use 4 flowers, 3 buttons & 2 designer papers, here's what I came up with:

A closer look:
For this project I used the oh so cute image from The Character Cafe called Puppy Love. I used two designer papers from the DCWV summer stack, as you can see there are 3 buttons, two up in the right corner & one in the lower right corner & there's 4 flowers in the upper left hand corner. Well anyway I like to try new challenges when I have a chance & I'm so glad I tried this one this week. Thanks again for coming by & have a great weekend!

SMC Challenge Friday!

Wow, it's Friday. I cannot believe how fast the week went, can you? Well it's time for another awesome challenge with Sew Many Cards! This week's challenge is to make a Christmas Project. This is what I came up with:

A bit closer look:

A side view:

Okay this is a Criss Cross Box there's a bag of cookies inside, this makes a great little container for holiday gift giving, I didn't get a chance to make a tag for it but a tag would be perfect on the bag, I think. I used the oh so cute image called Donkey in Bucket, isn't he too cute?

Now to switch gears a bit, here is a card made with a Halloween image from this week's SMC Challenge Sponsor:

A closer look:

This image is called Peek a Boo, too cute don't you think? I used paper from this year's Halloween Mat Stack from DCWV, circle & pinking circle Nestabilities, the star border punch & bling of course :)

Thanks for coming by today & I sure hope you'll join us for this week's challenge, head on over to blog to see what the prize is! Good Luck!

Happy Wednesday

Well I tried to get this posted this morning before I left for work & realized I hadn't downloaded the pictures... I was busy working on my projects for this week's SMC challenge & downloaded them but not the project I wanted to share... go figure. Here's one more "project" made with the other Dahlia image you receive when you purchase the Dahlia with Oval. Here is the "oval":

A closer view of the image:

It's a covered notepad with a pen holder, this time I used the jr. legal pad. I actually made & gave this to my DS's girlfriend today as she goes away to college tomorrow. Sweet girl & not many mother's say that about their son's girls do we ladies?

Anyway be sure to stop by on Friday as I'll have my SMC challenge project & this week's sponsor sample to share as well. Oh I'm also working on a challenge card this week for The Character Cafe. So there's more to come :)
