CDS August New Release

 

Hi there!  Hope you're having a great summer, I sure am when I'm not working that is :) Clearly Digi Stamps has some great new images this month, here are two that I'm sharing:

Stitching Challenge at Digi Design

 

Good Morning!  Hope all is well with you! I'm doing fine just super busy as always! This week Digi Design Challenge is challenging you to stitch it can be real or faux, I went with faux:

For my card I used the so cute image called Birthday Bertie along with a stamp from The Angel Company for the stitching.

CDS - Clean and Simple Blog Hop

Happy Sunday to you!  Thank you for taking part in this months Clearly Digi Stamps monthly blog hop! If you've already started hopping you should have come from Jennifer's blog, if not you'll want to start back at the CDS Challenge Blog.  The theme this month is "Clean and Simple", I never realized how hard it is to make something "simple" :).  However I tried and this is what I came up with:

Okay, I promised myself I'd get started on some Christmas cards in July, I actually try to do this every year and because this awesome set of images has this awesome pre-colored holly swags I decided to try them and now I can say I successfully started on Christmas cards in July, so nice! For my clean and simple card I rotated the swag so that I could place one on the bottom and just cut and pasted them in Word so that I can print them, I cut the image out using Spellbinders Labels One and layered it on red using the Spellbinders Decorative Labels One, I embossed the green using a holly embossing folder from Sizzix and last I cut out the holly in the corner with a Martha Stewart punch and an ordinary small hole punch for the berries.  Pretty simple.

Wedding or Anniversary Challenge

 Hi there! So glad you came by today! The challenge this week over at Digi Designs is anything Wedding or Anniversary, for mine I chose Wedding & used the too cute new image called Special Day Moments:

Just one last thing to share, this is how I spend a very hot and muggy (very windy too) day here in the Midwest yesterday a large tree branch from our very large maple tree came crashing down in the middle of the afternoon:

 

And the really upsetting this is it came crashing down on my daughter's friends car who happened to be visiting for the day... the poor thing only had it for less than a month too!

Now we are off to fight with the insurance company... :(

July New Release

 

That's right it's time for a new release over at Clearly Digi Stamps and as always there's some awesome new digis available, here's 2 I was asked to work with:

First up is a set called Dinos:

 A closer look, as you can see I popped out both dinosaurs:

 

The paper for this one is from the Animal Crackers pad from DCWV and the stamp is from a place called Creative Pals in Brookfield Wisconsin, an awesome store I try to get to once a year.

Other than the two Martha Stewart stamps and some bling both of these cards used the paper and images right from the set, one thing I so love about CDS is you get such nice complete sets at a reasonable price :).

Paper Piecing Challenge!

Good Morning! Hope you're doing well! Glad you came by today as Digi Designs Challenge this week is to Paper Piece, pretty cool!  Here's my card using the too cute image called "Molly Cutie", she's just so darn cute, isn't she?

CDS Sponsoring Sentimental Sunday's Challenge

 

 

Good Morning and happy Sunday to you! The weekends almost over but good thing today has only just begun :)  I have a little treat to share today, Clearly Digi Stamps is sponsoring the challenge today over at Sentimental Sundays, the challenge is to use all things "Digital" and for this card I used the cute CDS set called "Birthday Bash":

 For this one I used Purple as the main color and Turquoise to bring out the color in the gift box.

So then I couldn't resist and did one with the colors in reverse:
