Wow, Graduation is Over...

Hello, it's been awhile since I posted...  life just has been sooooo busy.  I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks so either :) Anyway, on to what's been keeping me so busy, my youngest little lovely graduated high school last week:

Here's a portion of the 30 handmade invites I made too:

I've been working on them for awhile now, they are all sent out & things are in motion to have a nice celebration next month...

Now I'm not to pack for a trip to New Orleans for a week, I've never been there & I'm so looking forward to a "vacation", it's been a very busy couple of years...

Anyway, I hope you'll come by tomorrow as there's another new challenge over at Digi Designs Challenge Blog & I actually am able to participate this time... too busy for the last one I'm afraid :(

Have a great day!

Happy Memorial Day!

Well although it's almost over, I hope you've celebrated & have honored all those who have suffered for serving our Country. I thank you all!

So sorry I've been missing but just like many of you I've been super busy, the first weekend of summer is always busy, my DD had the class of 2010 graduation to perform for on Saturday & today the Memorial Day parade in fact here's a picture of her in action this morning just before a vicious storm rolled through:

I worked on my flower bed most of the day yesterday (Sunday) & here's how it looks this year:

A close up:

There's a story behind this, the flower bed was put in many years ago by my DH for me to cover up the old drive-way, you see this room with two windows was actually a garage at one time & is now a master bedroom & bath. The top row of this flower bed has been quite the challenge nothing ever stays alive in it so I resorted this year to filling it with pretty white rocks... the Petunias make up the other two rows.

I wasn't only working on personal business so to speak, I also created a card with this past week's Bugaboo's Friday Freebie:
A close up:
Well a little closer anyway...

Edited... I've changed the project pictures that I re-took today, these are much better :)
So sorry the project pictures are a bit "blurry" but I was in a hurry as now I need to get to the Stanley Cup Playoff Game 2 our Chicago Blackhawks are up 1 game to Philadelphia's 0...

Thanks for coming by & hope you enjoyed my sharing today :)

I'm Back...

Don't want you to think I've disappeared off the face of the earth... I really am still here & wanted to update my blog for the New Year as well as leave a small post to let you know I'm here. I've finished with all the Christmas festivities so I've spent time with my family for a few days & although that's not over or anything I can now concentrate on cleaning up my craft room & working on new projects :) So stay tuned I should be back this week with pictures & who knows I may have updated pictures of a clean craft room... Thanks for stopping & talk to you soon!

Happy Sunday!

Hello Everyone! Sure hope you're having a nice weekend! Mine has been great! Yesterday my DD was in a Jazz Festival (she plays trumpet) for the IMEA - Illinois Music Educators Assoc this is something she had to try out for & was chosen - 1st time too! Anyway, I'm so proud!

The other reason I'd say this was a good weekend is today I was able to get a bunch of projects done so it's really been a "good" weekend! I also found out that Cosmo Cricket will be sponsoring Sew Many Cards as well as The Cutting Cafe so you'll be seeing things done here with both sponsors products - I can't wait! Well here is one of the projects I worked on today, it was a request for a twin baby girl shower card & here is what I came up with:

The inside, took me some time to find just the right thing to say for the inside, hopefully the person who requested it like it, we'll see... I'd sure like to hear if you liked it?

Thanks for stopping by & be sure to come on back this week as I have plenty more to share! Hope everyone has a great day!

Supplies: Stamps: Pink Cat Studio Paper: plaid from my stash & a card from my stash, ribbon, gems, sayings computer generated, stickles, tool: spellbinders ovals, long rectangles & bow easy.

Meet My Fur Babies!

I've been meaning to post pictures of my fur babies to share so here they are:

Spunky (big black one) - Roxie (tiger looking one) & Maddie (multi-colored orange, brown, black & white.

Although it is a bit rare to find them all together it does happen on occasion & I just so happen to have my camera close by to get the pictures. That would be my daughter in the background, she's the one who suggested I share pictures of these guys... and since I've really been meaning to, I did. Aren't they cute?

Oh and here's a card I did a few weeks ago using a TAC stamp set & some background paper from my stash:

Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a great day!

More to Share!

Here's a notepad & post-it note pad covered using more Sewn Together Digi Stamps for back to school:

I colored the Cammi the caterpillar more like a caterpillar than a worm like I thought it was at first... wow... The Halen the hair is colored in pink & the other in grey. Here's a few pictures from Tug Fest:
Illinois swept Iowa 11-0 two years in a row, the ladies even won their tug! First time my husband, daughter & I attended & what a fun time as you can see we had a good spot! Looks like we'll be making plans to attend next year too! The town, Port Byron consists of a population of 1600, small town.

Anyway a few more digi companies are looking for design team members so I hope to apply & become a designer soon! I'll post more samples of wedding cards I did soon! So come on back! Hope you have a great day!
