Another SMC Challenge Monday!

Hi there! So glad you came by! Today SMC is challenging us to use "Circles", any kind of circle will do! Here's what I came up with using the oh so cute image Eris Valentine:

Good Day to you! So glad you came by today, for those of you that celebrated Thanksgiving yesterday, I hope it was a good one. Hope your engines are revved up to get the holiday shopping,decorating, crafts & baking done in the next 30 days (yes 30 days...) well to help myself & the SMC design team to get all we need to get done & spend time with our families this will be our last challenge to share this year, we plan to pick back up on challenges again on 1/6/2012. So without further ado this week's challenge is to use "twine" & here is what I came up with:

Happy 4th of July!

Good Morning & Happy 4th of July to those of you here in the US :) Sure hope you're having a great long weekend, I know I am. We celebrated yesterday by going on a long ride on our Harley & grilling (we do that just about every weekend during summer - grilling that is). We've had some really nice weather & our town does their display on the 3rd so we watched that last night :) So anyway I hope to do some creating & just relaxing today!

Northwoods Stamp

A month or so ago my DH accompanied me to Archiver's & I was looking for graduation stuff to use on my cards. While there I found one of their samples made with a really cute stamp of tulip pots & combed through all the stamps but couldn't find it. Funny story here, I was pouting a bit so my DH asked what I was looking for so I told him, next thing you know I find him over by the stamps & believe it or not he found the last one :) He can be such a sweetie sometimes I tell ya! Good Morning & thanks for stopping by today! It's another Anything Goes Challenge at Sew Many Cards this week & here's what I have to share:

For this project I used the too cute image called Harley & Halo, along with some new paper from a DCWV matstack called The Mango Frost, the circle lace Nestabilities, Copic Markers & Bling.

I had a freebie Friday sample to share however I put it in with my Valentine cards to sell down at work & forgot to take a picture of it... so I'll have to recreate it and share it sometime this upcoming week... Here's the preview of it though, it's too cute to not share & don't forget it's free for today only over at the SMC Store Blog.

Well today I'm going to do a bit of running around, it's actually my birthday so I have the day off, so does the DH so along with my DD (who had to go back to school today :) ) are going out for dinner to celebrate, nothing too big. Anyway, have a great day!

Winter Birthdays

Hello there & happy Sunday! I can't believe the weekend is almost over... can you? I shopped all day with my 16 year old DD yesterday we set out at 10 & didn't get home until after 4 what a long day. Of course this was clothes shopping & not craft shopping so it wasn't nearly as fun as it could be but we had a good time together none the less :)

Okay today I'm sharing a card I made a few weeks back that I forgot to post, it's for winter birthdays... I have a winter birthday (next Friday to be exact ;) ) so I can relate & of course my birthday wouldn't be right if there wasn't any snow & guess what they are calling for a big storm this week here in the Midwest but hopefully they are wrong... we'll see. Anything Goes this Christmas Eve

Hi there & thanks for coming by today! Not sure about you but it's been one busy week for me. Because of my Mom passing away a very few months ago the rest of the family & I decided to switch things up a bit & I'm having a Holiday Open House today from 2-8. This way those family & friends that paid a visit or sent their love can come by & see the family under a bit better circumstances. Don't get me wrong though these next two days are going to be super hard as this was Mom's favorite holiday. But needless to say I'm busy & will be a bit more the next couple of days. Here's a cute picture of Mom, "Love you Mom"

This was actually Thanksgiving 2008 when we all had just recently lost not one but two uncles on the same day just a month before the holidays. Mom had a few to drink with us that day & just enjoyed her Birthday cake a bit too much :) Anyway thank you for letting me go on...

I did however take a bit of me time this week & completed this week's Sew Many Cards Challenge Anything Goes. Here's my card:

Final TCC Challenge

Yes you read that right, this is my final TCC challenge card as the challenge blog will be closing & there's no longer a need for me to create with these awesome images. There's still challenges going on for the rest of the month & the store will remain open it's just the challenge part is closing down. Hello Everyone! Hope the sun is shining where ever you are... it's not shining here in fact they are talking about rain changing to snow - 5 inches or so then blustery cold like 25 below zero, that's crazy for weather in the Midwest in December, I can't remember it ever being this cold in December. Anyway I'm sure it's yuckier somewhere else but I don't like it this way here so sorry for my rambling...

Hi Everyone! Thanks for coming by today. This time of the year is just so super busy isn't it? I haven't had much time lately to do regular postings so hopefully my Friday postings make up for not being around much...

Hello everyone, thanks for coming by today! This week TCC is challenging you to use neutral colors & create a flower, it could be a homemade paper flower or a punched flower. For my project I used a punched flower, the punches are Martha Stewarts:

For the rest of the project I used one of the November release digis called Harvest, the background paper is from the DCWV Amber matstack, the layer is Confetti neutral paperNestabilities Labels 12, Copic markers & a glitter brad. He's one of my favs. I used some paper from my stash I believe I picked up at Joann's, a large MS punch, the newest Square Lace Nestabilities, Copics, some ribbon I picked up at Joann's in the dollar bins & some red & gold bling. SMC Friday Challenge!

Hello everyone! So glad you came by today! It's the second challenge for the newest DT over at SMC. Not sure if you noticed but I'm now the DT Coordinator for the team & I must say this team is great! All the members are super easy going & we all seem to work well together, thanks team! Angela the owner is super great to work with too! I thank her for this opportunity.

For this week's challenge we are creating a project using Blue & White, for my card I used the oh so cute image Halen in Basket:

I used some new background paper I picked up at Joann's, some silver background paper beneath that, the scallop circle nestabilities, a snowflake border punch & some snowflake bling.

For this card I used the too cute new image from The Character Cafe's November release called Fredrick & Remy. I used some background paper from last year that was in my stash, one of the new Cuttlebug folders I recently purchased I think it's one of last year's versions too, the snowflakes are Martha Stewart & the image is colored with Copics. What a fun card to make!

For this card I used some new background paper I picked up at Hobby Lobby and a new Martha Stewart punch as well as some Nestabilities for layering the image oh and a prima flower I just picked up at Michael's along with the new punch :)

I'm Back... Sew Many Cards Friday Challenge

This time when I say "I'm Back" I think I mean it. Although it's been perhaps one if not the worst couple of weeks in my life I have to get back into the swing of things in order to keep myself sane. My Mom would never want me to sulk or fall into a funk so then that is something I will not do. So when I say "I'm Back" I can honestly say that this time it's for real. So to start myself back into my crafting I have a SMC card to share with a Fall feel:

For this card I used the too cute image called: Morty Pumpkin Spice, isn't he too cute? I also used a new Martha Stewart punch for the vine & the new Spellbinders Lace Circle to put Morty on. The paper is from the Autumn Amber matstack & there's orange metallic paper on the first layer. Remembering Mom...

Hi All!

Thanks for coming by today. I'm afraid I had something awful happen to my family & I last week which is why I've been MIA again so to speak. My lovely Mother passed away from what we believe was a massive heart attack in her sleep, she was only 62 years old & should not have left us so soon. We laid her to rest this past Saturday & have been working daily to get my Dad settled & take care of her things & just outright letting it "sink" in. I will say last Wednesday 10/20/2010 was one of the worst days of my life so far. I will return to my "day job" tomorrow which happens to be a place she worked for 12 years so I expect to be a bit overwhelmed with questions & condolences, in fact I've had some form of flowers or plants delivered to my door everyday since Saturday & appreciate all those who have been so nice. I especially want to shout out to my fellow members of the DT with The Character Cafe along with the owners Kendra & Kelly as well I appreciate all the condolences, thoughts & prayers sent my way last week. I can't say I'm back in full swing or partial swing yet for that matter but I'm working on it my Mom knew how much I loved this hobby & wouldn't want me to stop so I'll be back :) For now I leave you with a picture of my Mom, her name was Penny & she was worth oh so much more than that.

Good Evening, how are you? As promised here is my entry into a challenge this week using the oh so cute digi image "Mary" from The Character Cafe. Here's the challenge I chose:

I chose the Mojo Monday challenge & here is what I came up with:

For this card I used a MS border punch, Rectangle Nestabilities, paper from my scraps, a new Cuttlebug Winter folder, ribbon & copics of course :)

Oh and here's my helper for today only I wore her out:

This would be "Maddie" she's my youngest fur ball, almost 4 & she is attached to me :) This is one of her favorite positions to sleep in, needless to say we have many pictures of her in this position :)

Thanks for coming by today, I hope to spend some valuable time in my stamp room tomorrow that is in between being my DD's chauffeur & picking up whatever she needs me to "pick up"... Oh the life of having a "female teenager"... I'm sure some of you can relate.

Hello & Happy Sunday to you! Hope you've had a nice weekend, mine was way busy with DD's Homecoming & such... Today I'm sharing a really cute card made with a $1 stamp from Michael's, isn't he cute? Cute isn't it? Super easy card to make too as The Cutting Cafe has so many images to choose from in their packages - it was a no brainer for me to pick the background with the saying & the cupcake to match.

Now I'd like to share a bag I made for Halloween using a Sew Many Cards image called Tayla IN Pumpkin:

This was just made using a small lunch bag & some background paper from an old DCWV paper stack, I used the new Nestabilities called Lace Squares too!
