Happy Memorial Day!

Well although it's almost over, I hope you've celebrated & have honored all those who have suffered for serving our Country. I thank you all!

So sorry I've been missing but just like many of you I've been super busy, the first weekend of summer is always busy, my DD had the class of 2010 graduation to perform for on Saturday & today the Memorial Day parade in fact here's a picture of her in action this morning just before a vicious storm rolled through:

I worked on my flower bed most of the day yesterday (Sunday) & here's how it looks this year:

A close up:

There's a story behind this, the flower bed was put in many years ago by my DH for me to cover up the old drive-way, you see this room with two windows was actually a garage at one time & is now a master bedroom & bath. The top row of this flower bed has been quite the challenge nothing ever stays alive in it so I resorted this year to filling it with pretty white rocks... the Petunias make up the other two rows.

I wasn't only working on personal business so to speak, I also created a card with this past week's Bugaboo's Friday Freebie:
A close up:
Well a little closer anyway...

Edited... I've changed the project pictures that I re-took today, these are much better :)
So sorry the project pictures are a bit "blurry" but I was in a hurry as now I need to get to the Stanley Cup Playoff Game 2 our Chicago Blackhawks are up 1 game to Philadelphia's 0...

Thanks for coming by & hope you enjoyed my sharing today :)

Happy Friday! I'm not sure you agree but I'd say this week went by pretty fast. I'm super glad it's Friday & I cannot believe Memorial Day here in the US is just next weekend, can you? Boy time can sure fly... First up today is my challenge card for this week's SMC challenge which is Anything Goes! This challenge can be oh so cool as you can do whatever you want so here's what I came up with:

A close up:

I used the ever so cute Tayla which is part of the May Bonus Package, a MS border punch, paper from the DCWV spring stack & a prima. Oh and the sentiment is from Stampin'Up!

I'd also like to share with you a card made with this week's challenge sponsor, Bugaboo Stamps:

Here's my sample:

A close up:

This little image is called FB Blossom, isn't he cute? For this one I used paper from the same DCWV spring stack (I'm afraid I found the 12x12 paper pad at less than half price so I have too much...) I love this stack.

Be sure to head on over to the challenge blog & join in as this week's prize is 7 yes 7 digi stamps from Bugaboo!!!

Time to Catch Up...

Good Tuesday evening to you! So glad you stopped by. I'm afraid I was a bit under the weather yesterday so I didn't get to post. I'm better today & made it to my "day job" as well... fun...

Since I didn't post yesterday I thought I'd share two cards with you tonight... First one up:

A close up:

This card is for entry in the Friday Sketcher's #102 challenge, I'm afraid I cannot remember where the cute flower can digi came from (if it's you my apologies) I'm getting better at renaming the images now so I can give credit where credit is due. Isn't it cute? I used the same papers from my just for fun card, I used my new found favorite MS border punch - boy she sure keeps coming up with new gotta have ones doesn't she? Anyway this was super fun to color.

Next up would be my entry in the WFWC14 from Wild Flower Patch:

A close up:

The dimension:

This challenge was to use Ribbon, Sparkles & Dimension. I've used the ever so cute Flower Fairy Daisy, some paper from my stash, ribbon received as a gift with one of my recent Ellen Hutson orders, Labels 3 Nesties, oh & yes my newest MS border punch :)

This one is also for the Crafty Ho's Challenge sketch #3 as well, fun sketch.

Thanks for stopping by, hope you have a great evening!

Card for Fun!

Hello, so glad you had time to stop by today! Hope you're having a great weekend, mine isn't too bad I was actually able to get a couple cards done for some challenges and some DT work done as well. Today though I thought I'd share a card I made for "fun". The inspiration came from Jen Schultz's card on the Wild Flower Patch blog, I have the papers (My Mind's Eye) she used as well as a few other sheets that go with each other. I also had to have the image she used as it's just too cute to me! Here's my card using Flower Fairy Daisy:

A close up:

I probably should have used ribbon for the orange strip instead of the new MS border punch I bought last week as this card could have been part of the challenge but that's okay I'll just have to do another card for the challenge. Anyway, I also used this border punch to make what looks like a bench she is sitting on. What a fun card to make, I'll probably put a Happy Birthday sentiment on it but I haven't decided yet... That's all I have for today, more to share this week so if you have time stop on by!

Character Cafe Friday Challenge #18

Hello looks like I may have misunderstood what I was supposed to be doing today for my role on the DT of Character Cafe.... Oops... This week's challenge #18 is to Recycle and Reuse something for your project. I chose to recycle the plastic portion of the Terrifically Tacky Tape I so love to use. Here's what I came up with:

A side view:

A closer front view:

For this card I used the ever so cute new digi called Suzie, don't you agree she's really cute... I used some packaging strips for the inside & the flowers are wedding confetti colored to match these came from the little buckets at Michael's.

Be sure to head on over there to see what you could win for joining the challenge.

Thanks for coming by, hope you have a great evening!
